Pro2film is setting up the most comprehensive source of information about films and film professionals in the internet. The pro2film meta-search engine provides access to some of the largest databases for film professionals in existence. With pro2film we provide a single point of entry that which allows for an overview of all the information that has been gathered in our partners databases. As soon as a film professional has found the film and the data he is interested in, he will be forwarded to the database specializing on his particular request. As a result, it will be possible to follow the lifecycle of a film through all its stages, from the script to archive.
In contrast to other solutions all the data in the databases brought together under the umbrella of pro2film is a) verified by the participating institutions and b) updated by film professionals on a regular basis:
The quality of the data provided is checked by the institutions providing access to their data: for the archives it is the main focus of their work to collect and store precise information about the films in their stock. And cinando is checking the data stored in their database when the professionals register to any of the 6 big markets (Cannes, Toronto, Pusan, AFM, Berlin and Filmart). In addition, the sales agents and other market participants have a viable interest in updating the information – at least on a yearly basis – because the markets are the focal point or their marketing strategy. But not only quality of the data is unsurpassed. In the databases connected to pro2film, more data is stored than any user can provide to solutions imdb. This is data collected by professionals over decades in dedicated databases. We believe that no other institution in the film business can rival this accumulation of knowledge.
As a result, pro2film is not only more comprehensive and up-to-date than every single solution in existence but offers data of far superior quality.
